About Me:
I am a May 2015 graduate of North Carolina Central University, with a Bachelors degree in Mass Communication-Radio & Television Broadcasting. While there, I was involved in various projects including live performances, radio & television broadcasts, and marketing.
I supplemented my college education with various opportunities in the local area related to my major. I interned at K97.5 (RadioOne) in Raleigh, NC, helping to create and implement the station’s strategic planning and marketing initiatives, including a strong social media campaign. To gain more broadcast experience, I also served as an intern with NCCU’s Office of Public Relations, serving as a co-host and co-producer of the student-produced web series, “Eagle Access.” This show generated entertainment and educational content for a 10,000+ student body.
I also completed in a production course at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, while still a full-time student at NCCU. In this course, I wrote, produced, and served as on-camera talent for news content broadcasted live via UNC’s on-campus television station accessible to over 30,000 students.
In addition, I am a principal partner in First Class Lifestyle, an entertainment company, where I assist in overseeing all promotions and marketing, including branding. I also serve as host for our entertainment events, including the popular "GOOD Music" showcases, which highlights and supports independent musical acts.
Currently I’m a Content Associate Producer for ESPN in Bristol Connecticut. During my time here I have had the opportunity to enhance my skills as a producer. I create the highlights for our daily sportscenter shows as well as write scripts for the anchors to read. Most recently I've been working on one of our most high-profile shows, First Take. Where I assist in the day to day social media and productions operations as well as Talent booking for the show.
Whether it’s legendary Hip-Hop artists like Big Daddy Kane, NBA hall of famers like Eric "Sleepy" Floyd, or up and coming media personalities, I’ve gained invaluable experience interviewing many people from many walks of life.
Most of all, I am a storyteller. There are many out there, and I’m consistently looking for the next one to tell.
